movie night

I just had a movie night. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending) I don't have the patience to write a lengthy piece tonight. So I will keep this short.

Hot Pursuit, starring John Cusack and Ben Stiller (his debut). Cusack battles pirates and partakes in a car chase, twice. What is there not in this movie? -- the best of tonight's lot.

Home for the Holidays, starring Robert Downey Jr., Holly Hunter, Dylan mcdermont, Steve Gutenheim, and Clare Danes. Directed (or produced, I forget which) by Jody Foster. Long, nothing much happens, Hunter does a good job. Some good eccentricity on behalf of Downey.

The Singing Detective. Starring Robert Downey Jr, Adrian brody, and Robin wright -Penn (?). Tragically bad. Whereas the others were so bad they were almost good, this one was just bad.
