statues

I love statues. Big or small, they capture my attention big time. A few summers ago-- oy, yes THAT summer-- the family and I went to Shawinagan (home of Premier Ministre Jean Poutine)to see an art exhibit called" Noahs Ark. It was a massive warehouse with a bunch of scupltures depicting animals of all shapes and sizes-- from the famous "Maman" spider, to a goat by Picasso, to garden-chair whales, and life-like Noah, in his canoe. In Dundee there is a sculpture of Dandy; in Ottawa too lovers sitting on a bench holding an apple; Dublin has the giant spear; and Auckland the crazy-twirly thing.

Nothing compares to some of the sculptues displayed in this website though. Oh how I need to travel the world!
