All the latest toughs, you’ve got to shrug them off or shut them off

Yesterday I went on a lovely long walk in the city. Ottawa is so amazing. I don't underatnd how people cannot see the beauty of the city. I walked through the farm to the wildlife preserve.Then though some marshy bits to the locks where I sat by the water, under a tree, watching the ducks, fish, and chipmunks. I even saw a Great Blue Heron!! On the way back home though the farm, we swung by the greenhouses, the first time in many many years. Unfortunatley, the touch-fern was gone, but they still had the crazy banana/pnatane/bamboo plant-thing.

Today: unpacking, nursing my sunburn.
